Milwaukee 2753-20 Impact Driver – The Basics

This impact driver is a member of Milwaukee’s M18 FUEL lineup, which is the company’s flagship range of power tools. This doesn’t only mean that it has an excellent design and outstanding performance, but also that it can be used with the same battery packs as all other tools carrying the M18 mark.

It is powered by a brushless motor that delivers a constant power output needed to finish every project. Moreover, it can be used in a couple of different modes thanks to its integrated 4-mode drive feature. The tool’s dimensions are quite compact, which allows use in tight spaces as well as overhead application.

When it comes to extra features, 2753-20 comes with a LED work light, a battery fuel gauge, the belt clip, and the bit holder. It is accompanied by Milwaukee’s standard 5-year limited warranty.

Milwaukee 2753-20 Features

The Design

The design of the 2753 20 impact driver is just like the ones found on most other Milwaukee power tools – it’s almost impeccable. To make it easy to use in tight and hard-to-reach spaces, the company made it compact (3.5″ x 8.2″ x 5.8″) and lightweight (2.1 pounds). This means that the model causes no strain on the user’s hands and that it doesn’t require you to take frequent breaks when working with it.

Another thing that makes 2753-20 very handy is the fact that it uses battery packs, eliminating the need for outlets and wires. This is very convenient for tasks that need to be done far from the nearest power source. It also removes the risk of getting entangled in or tripping over long wires.

One thing we particularly liked about the Milwaukee 2753-20 ipact driver is that it comes equipped with all necessary additional features. These include a LED headlight (provides illumination in the dark), belt clip (quick storage), bit holder (for easy storage of the bits), as well as the onboard fuel gauge (lets you know when it’s time to recharge the battery).

Milwaukee 2753-20 Power

The 2753 20 model delivers up to 3,000 RPM of speed and produces the maximum torque of 1,800 in-lbs. This easily turns it into one of the most powerful ipmact driver in its class -a constant power output for fast screw driving is guaranteed. The fastening results are very smooth and the device easily handles the general workload, even if you’re a professional contractor.

However, one of the most interesting things about the 2753-20s performance is the included 4-mode drive. This is something that provides the user with a lot of versatility when it comes to completing various tasks. For example, the self-tapping screw mode (mode 4) reduces stripping out screws, breaking, overdriving, and waking.

Battery

Like all other power tools in this lineup, this Milwaukee impact driver is also powered by the REDLITHIUM 18V battery packs. These are exclusive to this lineup, and Milwaukee advertises them as the ones providing more work per charge and having a longer lifespan. Using power tools with these kinds of battery packs is undoubtedly more advantageous and cost-efficient than using those made by the competition.

R

Things we liked about it

The thing we liked the most about this Milwaukee M18 impact driver is undoubtedly its performance. Driving and fastening with this model is a breeze, as it has a high-performance brushless POWERSTATE engine at its heart. The unit works like a charm, providing a constant power output without any hiccups.

We were particularly pleased with the presence of Milwaukee’s proprietary 4-mode drive feature. As we said, it’s a feature that increases the 2753 20’s versatility and something that allows the user to tackle every task with the right amount of power.

Another great thing about 2753-20 is that it lacks no additional features. Everything is there – a battery fuel gauge, a belt clip, the bit holder, as well as the LED headlight. In other words, the model is not only well-designed and efficient but also possesses all those convenient extra features that make driving and fastening quicker and more comfortable.

Q

Things we didn’t like

The unit’s variable speed trigger can sometimes get stuck when used in a very light mode, prompting the user to shake the device to turn the power off. Another thing we disliked is the placement of the unit’s torque switch. It is located in a way which makes it very easy to hit it with your pinky inadvertently and change the setting.
