Things we liked about it
There are a couple of things that we liked about this B&D toolset. The first thing is the overall design. It looks nice, and the hard case makes it easy to carry anywhere. The most prominent trait of this tool has to be the Matrix Quick connect system which is one of the best we’ve seen so far. It’s so simple; even a child can do it.
You can transform this battery-powered drill into 6 different tools, and that means that you’ll save a substantial amount of cash. So, it’s affordable, but it’s also convenient. Since everything fits nicely in the carry case, getting from one place to another becomes effortless. Instead of carrying 6 different heavy tools, you only have to bring a 14-pound case in one hand.
Things we didn’t like
Well, even though this is a beneficial tool, it’s not designed for heavy-duty applications. If you want to cut through thick wood or plastic, the battery will drain much quicker than we like. If you push the motor to its limits, it won’t work for a long time.
Another thing that most people complain about when it comes to this toolset are the tools. Some of them work well, but others are not so practical. The oscillating tool is not powerful enough to get the job done.
General Impressions
If you are looking for a tool that will make most small jobs around the house easy, this is a great pick. It looks good, it’s easy to control, the Matrix quick connects system makes it easy to change tips. However, keep in mind that this isn’t a tool you should use on heavy-duty jobs.
